.Books by Danny Stone
Seen from where you're standing.
A series of books and essays about the claims nobody has checked, written by someone with no credentials to hide behind. Just the reasoning, laid out in full, so you can test it yourself.

.Where it started
What is the difference between education and brainwashing?
Danny Stone put that question to almost everyone he met. Nobody gave him a good answer, so he wrote one.

.Book one
Learning to think outside of yourself in the age of AI
Coming soonWe treat education and brainwashing as opposites. One frees a mind, the other captures it. The book starts by testing that assumption, and finds that it doesn't hold. Take away the locked rooms and the sinister language and both run on the same four part mechanism.
If the method can't tell them apart, something else has to. The book builds two practical tests for finding the line: whether you could rebuild a belief yourself, and whether what you were taught ever led you outside your own frame. Then it turns both tests on the tool now answering more of our questions than any teacher: AI, which can show you yourself while feeling like a view of the world.
.The mechanism behind both, from Chapter 1
Could you rebuild the belief from scratch, without the person who gave it to you?
From the Latin for leading out. Did the teaching take you beyond yourself, or only deeper in?
With a foreword by Barak M. Seener, founder of Strategic Intelligentia.
.From Chapter 1, All Education Is Educare
Education and brainwashing are treated as opposites. Education liberates; brainwashing controls. One expands a mind, the other narrows it. One is done to a person for his own good, the other against it. The distinction feels so obvious that nobody bothers to defend it. Claims nobody bothers to defend are usually the ones doing the most unexamined work, because nobody has ever had to check whether they hold up.
Strip brainwashing of its cinematic associations: the locked room, the sleep deprivation, the man in uniform. What's left is a plain mechanism, four parts. An authority the subject doesn't independently verify. Repetition, past the point required for comprehension, into the territory of habit. The systematic absence of live, credible contradiction. And content installed before it is understood, accepted first and made sense of later, if ever.
